Will you please donate $50 today to give a child a Buddy Bag?
When Millie, Aaron and Jessica* were taken into emergency care, they were traumatised.
Going back to their violent home – even for a single night – would have risked putting their lives in danger. A child protection order was filed immediately.
The violence and abuse they’d lived through meant they were afraid of everyone. They barely even spoke.
That’s until they found the Buddy Bags that had been left on each of their beds at their foster home. Four-year-old Millie unzipped her bag, and the first thing she discovered was a new cuddly teddy bear. She said her first words since she arrived:
"I've never had a teddy before."
Buddy Bags are often the first step in a child's journey of healing. And one of the most important.
But half the children who need a Buddy Bag are missing out. We simply can't keep up with demand.
By donating today, you'll help children like Millie, Aaron and Jessica, through their first few days in emergency foster care. And you'll let them know kind people like you care for them and want them to feel safe.

It costs $50 to provide a Buddy Bag to a child in crisis.
Each bag is filled with essentials like new underwear, pyjamas and toiletries. As well as a book, a toy and a cuddly teddy for extra comfort.
Without Buddy Bags, many children will spend their first night in foster care sleeping in their school uniform.
