Alannah & Madeline Day 2024
The Alannah & Madeline Foundation helps children escaping violence and trauma to heal, recover and thrive. They do this by providing Buddy Bags, which are packed with everything kids need during their first days of foster care or emergency accommodation, as they start their journey towards safety and recovery.Â
This year, around 11,000 Australian children will be removed from violent and abusive homes and placed in emergency care, with nothing but the clothes on their backs.Â
On Tuesday 17 September, the Alannah & Madeline Foundation aims to raise $350,000 to ensure that a Buddy Bag is waiting at every foster home and refuge, for every child who need one. Â
