Sunflower

Wednesday 29th Nov Participants: Ashton, Amber, Robyn, Eleanor, Alexander, Alessandra, Luna, Tilly. The Kimmba buzzed with excitement as Tilly proudly displayed the vibrant flowers she had brought for show and tell. The colorful petals captured the attention of her friends, and they gathered around eagerly. The teacher, seizing the opportunity to expand their knowledge, began asking open-ended questions about the different parts of the flowers. "Can anyone tell me the name of this part?" the teacher asked, pointing to the delicate petals. Hands shot up, and the children enthusiastically shared their observations and guesses. After a delicious lunch, the children scattered around the room, engaged in various activities. Amber, with her keen eye, discovered a fork left on the ground. Instead of dismissing it, she saw potential in the unconventional find. Inspired by the flowers Tilly had shared earlier, Amber decided to use the fork as an improvised paintbrush. The teacher, ever watchful of the children's creative endeavors, approached Amber and inquired about her artistic intentions. With a mischievous grin, Amber declared, "I want to paint a flower!" Encouraged by Amber's enthusiasm, the teacher provided a canvas and a palette of bright colors. Amber dipped the fork into the paint and began to create a masterpiece. Intrigued by her initiative, other children joined in. Ashton, drawn by the commotion, approached with curious eyes. Monday 27th Nov Participants: Ashton, Olive, Alex, Alexander, Kai, Luisa, Margaux, Mila, Penny, Jia, Hugo, Adaya. One sunny day at Kimmba, the teacher gathered a group of our enthusiastic babies and toddlers for a special art project. On the table, she laid out an assortment of colourful paints and explained, "Today, we're going to create something beautiful together using our handprints. We're going to make a big butterfly!" Each child dipped their tiny hands into the vibrant paints, carefully pressing them onto a large sheet of paper in the shape of butterfly wings. Laughter and giggles echoed through the room as the children marveled at the colourful handprints taking shape. As the collaborative masterpiece neared completion, the teacher gathered the children around the finished butterfly. "Who can find their handprint?" she encouraged, turning the activity into a joyful game of discovery. In our sunny daycare filled with the laughter of toddlers, Sylvie held a handful of empty toilet paper rolls, imagining the colourful possibilities they held. With a contagious enthusiasm, Sylvie turned to her friends, Clara and Mateo, and asked, "Let's make something special with this roll? "The idea piqued Clara and Mateo's interest, and they eagerly joined Sylvie in the artistic adventure. With paintbrushes in hand and pots of vibrant colours before them, the trio transformed the simple toilet paper rolls into a lively spectrum of hues. Sylvie, realizing the potential for a larger, collective creation, suggested, "we can invite everyone to join us. Let's make this artwork together!" Bubbles

Friday 24th Nov Participants: Ahan, Amber, Ashton, Charlotte, Clara, Eleanor, Rafa, Sylvie, Mateo, Hugo, Ben, Luka. One sunny afternoon, Ahan, Clara, Eleanor, and their group of friends were playing outside when they noticed something magical happening. A burst of bubbles floated through the air, catching the sunlight and creating a mesmerizing display. Excitement filled the air as the children shouted, "Bubbles! Bubbles!" Among them, Luka, with sharp eyes, spotted a unique bubble under the warm sunshine. He exclaimed, "Look! It's a rainbow bubble!" The sunlight danced on its surface, creating a spectrum of colours that enchanted everyone. Inspired by the beauty of the rainbow bubble, the teacher suggested they create their own bubble artwork. The children eagerly gathered around, each armed with a container of bubble solution and an array of vibrant colours. As they blew bubbles, they added drops of colour, watching as the hues swirled and mixed within the delicate spheres. The canvas of the sky became their masterpiece as the children skillfully moved the colourful bubbles toward it. Share

Monday 20th Nov Participants: Robyn, Nina, Inika, Esther, Luna, Millie and Ceci. In the group time, "Guess what, everyone! Over the weekend, I went to an amusement park, and I saw the funniest man!" the teacher exclaimed. "He had a big red nose, wore the brightest clothes, and made everyone laugh. Wanna see a picture?" the teacher asked, revealing a photo on the screen. As the children huddled around, a gasp of recognition escaped from Ceci. "He's a clown!" With that revelation, the Kinder Group's imaginations ignited. The teacher suggested they create their own clown masterpiece, and the children eagerly agreed. Share

Spring

Monday 20th Nov Participants: Alessandra, Ben, Eddie, Esther, Inika, Nina, Raphael, Tilly. One sunny morning, as children played in the outdoor area. “Wow! Look at the trees! They're all dressed up in flowers!" exclaimed Raphael. Darshana noticed the children's fascination and decided to turn the moment into a learning opportunity. "Can anyone tell me why the apple trees are blooming?" she asked, kneeling down to their level. Inika raised her hand eagerly. " Because it's spring!" Inspired by this newfound knowledge, the Kinder Group huddled together, their minds buzzing with excitement. They decided to commemorate the beauty of the apple trees with a special art project they named "Spring." The Kinder Group arranged their sticks and leaves on a canvas, each piece carefully chosen to represent the beauty of spring. Share

One bright day, after the children had a playful dance session and sang a cheerful Chinese song about flowers, Eddie's eyes gleamed with excitement. "I want to draw flowers for my mum!" he said. His enthusiasm spread like wildfire through the group, and soon, the room buzzed with the collective decision to create "Mum's Bouquet." "I'll paint a big yellow flower for my mum," Robyn with a twinkle in her eye, declared. "I wanna paint a pink flower! It's going to be the prettiest flower!" Tilly said. Unable to contain her curiosity, she asked her teacher, "Can I do this?" The teacher, recognizing the enthusiasm in Amber's voice, replied, "Yes, Amber, you can certainly give it a try!" With the teacher's encouragement, Amber eagerly picked up a toilet roll and dipped into the lively hues of paint. Intrigued by Amber's project, other kids expressed their interest. "I want to do it too, teacher!" they chimed in. The teacher, embracing the spirit of collaboration and creativity, smiled and said, "Let's do it together, everyone!" Ahan couldn't contain his excitement and exclaimed, "Look! I made a flower!" His announcement prompted Mateo and Sylvie to proudly showcase their own creations, exclaiming, "Teacher, I made a flower too!" One afternoon, as the children gathered around the art table, Robyn's eyes widened with excitement as she discovered a small bag of glowing stars. "Look, everyone! I found stars!" she exclaimed; her voice filled with wonder. The children eagerly grabbed their crayons and paper, attempting to recreate the twinkling stars they had found. However, they soon realized that drawing stars were trickier than they imagined. Seeing their earnest efforts, the teacher approached the group. "Hey, little artists! I see you're working on something special. Need some help?" Esther looked up with a hopeful smile. "Yes! We want to draw stars.” The teacher grinned, "That sounds magical! Before we start, let's talk about where and when we can see stars. Can anyone tell me?" Raphael raised his hand. "You can see stars at night when the sky is dark." "Exactly! What else can you see in the dark sky?" the teacher prompted. "Um, the moon!" suggested Nina. The teacher nodded approvingly. "Absolutely!
