Buddy Bags are mini care packages for children escaping violent homes. Lovingly packed by volunteers, they are filled with carefully selected items that focus on their physical, emotional, and mental wellbing. Each Buddy Bag includes:

• new pyjamas, socks and underwear, so they can dress in clean clothes
• a toothbrush, toothpaste, face washer and hairbrush to feel clean, a book to relax the mind, a trauma-informed toy for healing play – and an all-important teddy bear to cuddle for emotional comfort.

And it all comes in a colourful backpack. So, when you donate to provide a Buddy Bag, you're also giving a child a brand-new school bag.

A Buddy Bag is something tangible a child can call their own, helping to meet their immediate needs – while showing them they are special, that people care for them, and that they matter.
